The Story

"

The Burgundy Obsession

Phillip Jones was a dairy farmer who became obsessed with Burgundy. In 1979, he planted Pinot Noir in South Gippsland—an area with no wine history—because he believed the cool, wet climate was perfect for the temperamental grape. For decades, he was considered eccentric. Now he's considered a genius.
